Lay the garment flat and measure straight across approximately 1 inch below the armholes. Double this value only if you specifically need an approximate garment circumference.
Measure from the highest shoulder point beside the collar straight down to the bottom hem. Compare like-for-like garment styles.
When supplied by the manufacturer, follow the brand’s stated start point because sleeve measurement conventions vary by garment construction.
Garment measurements can vary within the manufacturer’s published tolerance. Do not treat a chart value as a cut-and-sew engineering dimension.
